I have devised a way to give instant access to any mode using my primary scale that is moved up or down the fretboard of the guitar by counting frets. I explain where to place it on the neck in order to give you the correct notes of each mode in all twelve keys. Yes, this really works, I have been playing solos using this system since 1986. No music theory knowledge required--in fact you do not have to be able to read music. The only thing you must learn is a fingering pattern that you might even already be using!
